DIY Soothing Milk & Honey Facial Mask

Stuck at home and need a little pick me up for your skin? Try out this really yummy (yep, you can eat this after) facial mask that will not only sooth your skin, but will hydrate, brighten and exfoliate!!

Here’s what you need…

DIY Soothing Milk & Honey Facial Mask

🥛 2 Tbsp plain Yogurt 🌾 1 tbsp oatmeal 🍯 1/2 tsp honey 🍌 1/4 banana (mashed)

In a bowl, mash up your banana…doing this first makes it a little easier once you start adding all the other ingredients. You don’t want huge chunks. Think baby food texture.

Once you have the banana at a nice consistency, add your yogurt, oatmeal and honey and mix until it is all nice and blended.

Using your fingers or a cotton round, place the mask onto your clean, dry skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes.

Remove with cool water.

🛑 Now, words of advice. If you are allergic to any of those ingredients, DO NOT DO THIS MASK.

You will feel some activity (aka tingling sensations) while this sits on your skin. And it will start to feel tight, but that’s ok. That’s the magical ingredients in this mask that are working on your skin.

What exactly are the benefits of these ingredients you ask? Check it out…

🥛 Yogurt has lactic acid which is an AHA. It provides a gentle exfoliation and helps brighten the skin. It also helps to prevent breakouts and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles.

🍯 Honey is anti-bacterial which is great for preventing acne. It’s also full of anti-oxidants which helps slow down the signs of aging and is extremely moisturizing to the skin.

🌾 Oatmeal is rich in vitamins and minerals, and helps to exfoliate and keep your skin hydrated. This is also great for soothing the skin.

🍌 Bananas hydrate skin, fades acne scars and dark spots as well as fights off acne causing germs.

Give this a try! It’s fun to make…a nice glowing mask for your face with a yummy snack while you wait! 😊

Stay safe my friends and I will see you soon!
